# Tursun Bey

**Tursun Bey** (1420'ler, [Edirne](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Edirne)),[^1] [II. Mehmed](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/II._Mehmed)'e ithaf edilen bir vakayiname yazan [Osmanlı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Osmanl%C4%B1_%C4%B0mparatorlu%C4%9Fu) bürokratı ve tarihçidir.

## Hayatı

Muhtemelen 1420'lerin ortalarında [Edirne](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Edirne)'de doğdu. Babası [Arnavut](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Arnavutlar) asıllı [Hamza Bey](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Hamza_Bey)'dir.[^2] Tursun Bey'in hayatı sadece kroniğinde yer alan referanslardan bilinmektedir. Tanınmış bir tımarlı aileden geliyordu ve kendisi de [tımar](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/T%C4%B1mar_%28arazi%29) sahibiydi.[^3] Devlet sarayında görev aldı ve 1453'te [İstanbul'un Fethi](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C4%B0stanbul%27un_Fethi)'nde [II. Mehmed](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/II._Mehmed)'e eşlik etti.[^4]

Tursun Bey'in bilinen tek eseri *Tarih-i Ebülfeth* adlı eserdir. (Osmanlıca تاريخ ابو الفتح)
