**Tsoureki** [un](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Un), [süt](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/S%C3%BCt), [tereyağı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Tereya%C4%9F%C4%B1), [yumurta](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Yumurta) ve [şeker](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C5%9Eeker)le yapılan, genellikle portakal kabuğu rendesi, [damla sakızı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Damla_sak%C4%B1z%C4%B1) reçinesi veya [mahlep](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Mahlep)le tatlandırılan bir bayram [ekmeğidir](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Ekmek). Yunanca tsoureki kelimesi, Eski Türkçede "yuvarlak ekmek" anlamına gelen Türkçe [çörek](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C3%87%C3%B6rek) kelimesinden türemiştir.[^1][^2]
