**Terkib-i Bent**, farklı [uyak](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Kafiye)lara sahip birkaç [bent](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Bent_%28anlam_ayr%C4%B1m%C4%B1%29)ten meydana gelen ve bentlerinin sonunda uyakları aynı birer [beyte](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Beyit) sahip olan [Divan edebiyatı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Divan_edebiyat%C4%B1) [şiir](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C5%9Eiir) biçimidir.

Yaşamdan, talihten şikâyet; felsefi düşünceler, dinî, tasavvufi konular ve toplumsal yergilerin işlendiği şiirlerdir. Her biri beşle on arası [beyit](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Beyit)ten oluşan, beş-on iki bendin bir araya gelmesiyle kurulur. Bentleri birbirine bağlayan beyte *vasıta beyti* denir. Vasıta beyti her bentte farklıdır. Vasıta beytinin aynen yinelenmesi durumunda ise [terciibent](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Terciibent) oluşur. Bunlar bentlerden ayrı olarak kendi aralarında uyaklanır. Bentlerin [kafiye](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Kafiye)lenişi [gazel](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Gazel)deki gibidir. [Türk Edebiyatı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/T%C3%BCrk_edebiyat%C4%B1)nda [Bağdatlı Ruhî](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Ba%C4%9Fdatl%C4%B1_R%C3%BBh%C3%AE) ve [Ziya Paşa](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Ziy%C3%A2_Pa%C5%9Fa) bu türün iki önemli şairidir. İkisi de toplumsal konularda yazmıştır. Didaktik şiirlerdir.
