## Tarih

Eski Türk tarihinde Tegin ünvanını taşıyan kişilere çok rastlanır. Bu kişilerden en çok bilineni ise [Kül Tigin](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/K%C3%BCl_Tigin)'dir ([Eski Türkçe](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Eski_T%C3%BCrk%C3%A7e): ). [Gazneliler](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Gazneliler) devletinin kurucuları [Alp Tigin](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Alp_Tigin) ve [Sebük Tegin](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Seb%C3%BCk_Tegin) de bu ünvanı taşıyan isimlerdendir. Tegin ünvanı zamanla [Türkiye](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/T%C3%BCrkiye)'de "Tekin" adına evrilmiştir.
