Sever Han döneminde Bulgar Hanlığı ile [Bizans İmparatorluğu](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Bizans_%C4%B0mparatorlu%C4%9Fu)'nun barış içinde olduğu düşünülmektedir çünkü Bizans vak'anüvislerinde kuzey sınırlarında herhangi bir olaydan bahsedilmemektedir. [Steven Runciman](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Steven_Runciman) ve [David Marshall Lang](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/David_Marshall_Lang) gibi tarihçilere göre, Dulo sülalesinden gelen son hükümdar olan Sever Han'ın ölümüyle Hun hükümdarı [Attila](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Attila)'nın neslinden gelen hükümdarların devri sona ermiştir.[^1][^2]
