## Tarihi

Naan'ın en eski görünümü 1803 yılında William Tooke'nin yaptığı bir seyahat günlüğünde ortaya çıkmıştır.[^5] Farsça nān 'ekmek' kelimesi, [Orta Farsça](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Orta_Fars%C3%A7a)'da İran kökenli n'n 'ekmek, yiyecek' olarak tasdik edilmiştir.[^6] * Naan* eski İran'da sıcak çakıl taşları üzerinde pişirilmiş ekmekten türetilmiştir.[^7]
