Hingila Mührü

Hingila Mührü, Orta Asya'nın güneyindeki Baktriya bölgesine ait tarihi bir mühürdür. Mühür yakın zamanda Pierfrancesco Callieri ve Nicholas Sims-Williams tarafından yayınlandı.[1]Callieri (2002) "The Bactrian Seal of Khingila." Silk Road Art and Archaeology 8[2]ALRAM, MICHAEL. Three Hunnic Bullae from Northwest India. Bulletin of the Asia Institute, 2003, s. 179, and note 22. Şu anda Bay A. Saeedi'nin (Londra) özel koleksiyonundadır.[3]Kurbanov, Aydogdy. Some information related to the Art History of the Hephthalites. Isimu, 2013, s. 106, note 42. Kurbanov bunu önemli bir Ak Hun mührü olarak görüyor.[4]Kurbanov, Aydogdy. THE HEPHTHALITES: ICONOGRAPHICAL MATERIALS. Tyragetia, 2014, s. 319-320, page 320 note 1. Aynı zamanda Kidaritler ve Ak Hunlar arasında bir ara madde olarak kabul edilmiştir.[5]Callieri, Pierfrancesco. SEALS AND SEALINGS – Encyclopaedia Iranica. www.iranicaonline.org.

Mühür, xoadeo ("Lord", "Kral") unvanıyla birlikte hükümdar "Eshkingil"den bahseden Baktriya dilinde bir yazıta sahiptir ve MS 5.-6. yüzyıla[2]ALRAM, MICHAEL. Three Hunnic Bullae from Northwest India. Bulletin of the Asia Institute, 2003, s. 179, and note 22. ya da yüzyılın ilk yarısına tarihlenmektedir. MS 5. yüzyıl.[3]Kurbanov, Aydogdy. Some information related to the Art History of the Hephthalites. Isimu, 2013, s. 106, note 42. Nicholas Sims-Williams tarafından deşifre edilen efsanede şunlar yazıyor:

  • εϸκιγγιλο (...) (ρ)ωκανο χοηο

  • eškiggilo (...) (r)ōkano xoēo

  • "Eškiŋgil, (Ga)rokan'ın Efendisi"[6]Lerner, Judith A.. Observations on the Typology and Style of Seals and Sealings from Bactria and the Indo-Iranian Borderlands, in Coins, Art and Chronology II. The First Millennium CE in the Indo-Iranian Borderlands, eds., M. Alram, D. Klimburg-Salter, et al. (Vienna: ÖAW, 2010): 245-266., s. 255, note 57.

Tam okuma "Eskingil, filancanın oğlu (halkın) efendisi" veya "Eskingil, falancanın oğlu, efendi" olabilir.[3]Kurbanov, Aydogdy. Some information related to the Art History of the Hephthalites. Isimu, 2013, s. 106, note 42. "Eshkingil" (, εϸκιγγιλο, Eškiŋil), "yoldaş, arkadaş" anlamına gelen Türkçe Eš- ön ekinden ve tapınılan kutsal kılıç ve tanrı ("Kenglu-shen") "-kenglu"dan oluşan bir başlık olabilir. Böylece "Eškiŋgil", "Kılıcın Yoldaşı", hatta "Savaş Tanrısının Yoldaşı" anlamına gelen bir Hiung-nu ismi veya unvanı olabilir.[4]Kurbanov, Aydogdy. THE HEPHTHALITES: ICONOGRAPHICAL MATERIALS. Tyragetia, 2014, s. 319-320, page 320 note 1.[7]DE LA VAISSIÈRE, ÉTIENNE. Is There a "Nationality of the Hephtalites"?. Bulletin of the Asia Institute, 2003, s. 129.

Mühür aynı zamanda Baktriya efsanesi (χιγγιλο αλχοννο "Khiggilo Alchono") ile yaptığı sikkelerde görünen Alkon Hun hükümdarı I. Hingila'ya veya aynı adı taşıyan başka bir hükümdara ait olabilir.[7]DE LA VAISSIÈRE, ÉTIENNE. Is There a "Nationality of the Hephtalites"?. Bulletin of the Asia Institute, 2003, s. 129.
