**Colin Imber**, İngiliz [profesör](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Profes%C3%B6r), [tarihçi](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Tarih%C3%A7i), [yazar](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Yazar) ve [öğretim görevlisi](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C3%96%C4%9Fretim_g%C3%B6revlisi)dir. [Türkiye](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/T%C3%BCrkiye) ve [Osmanlı İmparatorluğu](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Osmanl%C4%B1_%C4%B0mparatorlu%C4%9Fu) tarihi üzerine birçok eser kaleme almıştır. Imber, 1970 yılında [Kraliyet Teknoloji Enstitüsü](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Kraliyet_Teknoloji_Enstit%C3%BCs%C3%BC)'nde doktorasını verdi. Daha sonra emekli olana kadar [Manchester Üniversitesi](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Manchester_%C3%9Cniversitesi)'nde Türk tarihi alanında araştırmacı ve öğretim görevlisi olarak çalıştı.
