Beyzâde
Beyzâde (بیزاده; Begzade; Begzadići; Beizadea), Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda asil hânelerin soyundan gelen ve imparatorluk içinde önemli mevkilerde bulunan geçici vâlilere ve askerî komutanlara verilen ünvandır.[1]Ali H. Neyzi. Beyzade-Paşazade: 1930-1990, Volume 2. 1992.
Beyzâde terimi genellikle Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun Batı hesaplarında toplum içinde üstler olarak, genellikle çok fazla yetkiye sâhip erkekler olarak görünür.[2]Records of Travels in Turkey, Greece, &c: And of a Cruise in the Black Sea, with the Capitan Pasha, in the Years 1829, 1830, and 1831, Volume 2. 1833, s. 26. Doğu Avrupa, Balkanlar, Kafkasya ile Anadolu'nun bâzı bölgelerinde ve Kuzey Irak'ta Beyzâde ünvanı, bu bölgelerdeki Osmanlı fethinin bir kısmına önderlik eden Çerkes prenslerine de verilirdi.[3]Biography of an Empire: Governing Ottomans in an Age of Revolution. 2010.
