# Aydın Reis

**Aydın Reis** (ö. 1535), [İspanyollar](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C4%B0spanyollar) tarafından "Cachidiablo" ve [İtalyanlar](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C4%B0talyanlar) tarafından "Cacciadiavolo" olarak bilinen bir [Osmanlı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Osmanl%C4%B1_%C4%B0mparatorlu%C4%9Fu) [amiral](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Amiral)iydi.[^1]

Aydın Reis, aslen Karamanlı bir Türktür. [II. Bayezid](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/II._Bayezid) döneminde en büyük denizci olan [Kemal Reis](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Kemal_Reis)'in emri altındaydı. Başta Osmanlı için çalıştı; sonra [Memlük](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Meml%C3%BBk_Devleti) idaresi altındaki Mısır'da hizmet verdi. [Kemal Reis](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Kemal_Reis)'in 1511'deki ölümünün ardından [Oruç Reis](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Oru%C3%A7_Reis)'in donanmasına katılmak için [Berberi Kıyısı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Berberi_K%C4%B1y%C4%B1s%C4%B1)'na gitti. 1516'da [Cezayir](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Cezayir_%28%C5%9Fehir%29)'in fethine katıldı. 1518'de Oruç Reis'in ölümünden sonra [I. Selim](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/I._Selim) için çalışan [Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Barbaros_Hayreddin_Pa%C5%9Fa)'nın donanmasına katıldı. Böylece, tekrar Osmanlı hizmetine dönmüş oldu.

[Fomentera Savaşı](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Formentera_Deniz_Muharebesi)'nın ardından [İstanbul](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/%C4%B0stanbul)'a döndü ve [Kanuni Sultan Süleyman](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/I._S%C3%BCleyman) tarafından ödüllendirildi. 1534'te [Tunus](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Tunus_%28%C5%9Fehir%29)'un fethine katıldı. Ertesi yıl doğal nedenlerden ötürü [Annâbe](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Ann%C3%A2be)'de öldü.
