Alathar
Alathar (fl. 513), Hun asıllı Doğu Romalı bir magister militum idi.
Alathar, Vitalian'ın isyanı sırasında Vitalian'a yenildi. Kendisi, o zamanlar Hunları belirtmek için kullanılan bir terim olan "İskit" olarak tanımlanıyordu. JB Bury, Ernst Stein ve Georges Tate bu durumda "İskit"i "Hun" anlamında okudular.[1]Amory, Patrick. People and Identity in Ostrogothic Italy, 489-554. Cambridge University Press, 2003, s. 357.[2]Bury, John Bagnell. A History of the Later Roman Empire From Arcadius to Irene (395 A.D. to 800 A.D.). Hun/Macar efsanelerinde Aladár, Etele (Attila) ile Alman prensesi Kriemhild'in oğludur.[4]Glockner, Peter G.. Encyclopaedia Hungarica English · Volume 1. Hungarian Ethnic Lexicon Foundation, 2007, s. 24.
