[Mustafa Reşit Paşa](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Mustafa_Re%C5%9Fid_Pa%C5%9Fa)'nın yanında [Paris](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Paris)'e gitmiştir. [Nafıa meclisi](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Naf%C4%B1a_meclisi) başkâtipliği ve dahiliye kâtipliği görevlerinde bulunmuştur. *Risale-i Sagire* adlı sefaretnamesinde [Avrupa](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Avrupa)'nın zenginleşmesinin nedenleri, kültürü, sosyal yardım kurumları üzerinde durmuş, Paris ve çevresini tanıtmıştır. 1845 tarihli bu yapıt Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun bilinen son [sefaretname](https://turkipedia.org/tr/wiki/Sef%C3%A2retn%C3%A2me)sidir.
